Florida Para Con is proud to welcome horror author Jackie Sonnenberg! A former journalist turned award-winning dark fiction writer, Jackie is known for weaving horror, fantasy, and the supernatural into unforgettable stories. She's also a familiar face in the horror community, often appearing at conventions in elaborate costumes inspired by her own characters and her work in the haunted attraction industry. Be sure to stop by her booth to meet Jackie, discover her latest books, and experience the darker side of storytelling.

Knightmare Stories Bookshop is located in Hudson at 10343 State Rd 52 and is Florida's Nature Coasts' first independent bookshop with a dark, gothic aesthetic set to open before Fall of 2026.  

Our curated selection of books features many indie and local authors with a strong focus on the horror, thriller, dark romance, dark fantasy, romantasy, gothic, and paranormal romance genres as well what we like to call "quirky" nonfiction and children's, middle grade, and young adult selections. You will also find activity books and similar offerings that align with the overall aesthetic of the shop. While we are primarily a bookshop, we are proud to offer a selection of unique greeting cards, puzzles, stationary, bookmarks, stickers, journals, totes, candles, jewelry, gift items, and more! 

We work with local or small handmade artisans when possible to source many of the items you will find on our shelves. We welcome community members of all ages and are excited to offer a third space for those who visit our brick and mortar shop. We hope to see you soon!

Her dedication to education, storytelling, and respectful paranormal research has made her one of Florida's most recognizable and influential figures in the paranormal field.

Barb Jones is the bestselling and  award-winning author of supernatural thrillers and horror. She is the creator of The Blood Prophecy Saga and the Heaven and Hell series, as well as standalone works including The Devil Inside. 

Born and raised in Hawaii, Barb grew up surrounded by legends, folklore, and a deep connection to the supernatural elements that continue to influence the worlds she creates. Research is an important part of her writing, and she frequently travels to the locations featured in her stories to experience their history, culture, and legends firsthand. When she isn't writing, Barb enjoys meeting readers at conventions, book signings, libraries, and literary events. 

She also shares her experience with other writers through seminars on writing, publishing, and book marketing. Barb is the founder of Immortal Cravings, LLC, a company dedicated to helping independent authors navigate publishing, marketing, and promotion.

She lives in Florida and is usually working on her next book or planning the research trip that gives her an excuse to travel somewhere new.
